You’ll hear people refer to routine as being dull or boring. It implies that life is the same from one day to the next. However, routines are a great way to get your work done. It’s also simplifies the actions needed to work together towards a desired goal. When you understand what needs to get done, i.e., what tasks need to be performed, projects tend to run smoother.

You should have a routine when it comes to your business. You know you should be constantly building your list. There should be a fresh source to bring subscribers such as lead magnets on a regular basis. There may be instances when you don’t have that in place. But most successful marketers will. And this is good to reduce stress over growing your list.

Your work ethic around your business determines your routines. You know that certain tasks need to get done each week. In actually, your profits are tied to the effectiveness of your actions.  When the task is finished, there is no immediate reward but it builds a work ethic. Acting in this way builds keeps you on track, stress free and builds self-confidence.

Do the tasks routinely that bring in money to your business. Normally it is 20% of the things you do that bring in the most amount of profit to your business. There isn’t a right answer for how to do this. Whatever works for you is the right answer. However, the method you choose will be routine.

Contrast this to people who don’t have routines to manage their lives. They tend to handle tasks when the mood strikes them. These people are usually late with things that are important in their lives. Some of these people will say that this way of life works for them. However, for most people this is chaos. It’s something that can easily be avoided by setting up routines for the tasks you need to complete.

Of course, people are not robots. Hence, they do break up their routines on occasion. You may use weekends to do activities that you don’t get to do during the work week. Also, many families use vacations to help break up their routines.

How every you choose to incorporate routine is great as long as the routine adds to the growth of your business.
